Regular Part-time - Janitorial
Job Summary:
The Janitorial Staff position is responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and minor repair of SRCES St. James School’s facilities and grounds. These positions require a variety of facility and equipment maintenance duties. Performs custodial duties including, but not limited to, cleaning services (e.g. trash removal, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, etc.) in the school building according to a weekly schedule and other duties as assigned.
Duties:
General cleaning of all school buildings and keeping them maintained and in good condition
Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
Cleaning and stocking all restrooms
Clean up spills with appropriate equipment
Valid PA Driver's License
Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, green space and parking lot by: cutting grass, trimming, raking and removing leaves and debris from grounds; trimming trees, shrubs, and bushes, and in winter by removing snow from walkways, stairs, and parking areas and apply ice melt as needed
Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up
Notify the Principal of major repairs
Moves and transports furniture, books, and miscellaneous items from buildings
Delivery of materials and donations
Perform rough painting and plastering
Secures and stores all cleaning supplies and equipment upon completion of cleaning
Assists in setting up tables, chairs and other equipment as needed
Clean and polish brass items, as needed
Window and light fixture cleaning and repairs
Floor maintenance, including the stripping, sealing, and waxing of floors using wet mops and high-speed buffer
Assists in other areas related to overall maintenance
Qualifications:
21 years of age
Completed safe environment training and background check
High school diploma or GED

St James School is seeking a Part-time Advancement Director for immediate hire. The Advancement
Director will lead our development, fundraising, and marketing efforts. This individual will play a key
role in strengthening our school’s mission, engaging our community, and securing resources for the
future. The ideal candidate:

● A degree or experience in business marketing, non-profit management, or a related field.
● Experience in fundraising development or advancement.
● Strong relationship-building and networking skills

Job responsibilities include:
Fundraising
1. Oversee and implement fundraiser initiatives, special events, and major gift appeals to meet the
school’s overall fundraising goals.
2. Identify, cultivate, and solicit individual donors, major benefactors, corporate and business
sponsors and oversee the database of donors and alumni, input and tracking, ongoing recording
and acknowledgment of donations.
3. Oversee the coordination of volunteers and committees to ensure the success of all fundraisers
and educate and engage key volunteers in implementing school mission-based fundraising.
4. Create and support a culture of philanthropy and stewardship within the school and parish
community.
5. Advertise for events and fundraising, including the creation of marketing materials, addition to
websites, social media, e-blasts etc.
6. Track school and family fundraising goals and volunteer hours through the Family Share
Program.
7. Oversee fundraising efforts by PTG, Athletics, Fine Arts, and any additional auxiliary groups and
assist in planning meetings.
Marketing
1. Design and implement promotional materials, such as banners, yard signs, ads, church digital
signs, billboards, Sky Kit TV slides, etc.
2. Design and maintain electronic communications, including website updates, regular emails,
school newsletters, videos, and social media posts.
3. Design informational flyers for fundraisers and open houses.
4. Set and implement professional writing and design standards for school communications,
including, but not limited to, print publications including school newsletter, parish bulletin,
marketing materials, brochures, and direct mail pieces.
5. Create church bulletin ads.
6. Oversee media relations including advertising in and press releases to local newspapers and
media outlets to cover and promote school and parish events.
7. Coordinate and share photographs of the school community, special events, fundraisers,
classroom activities, etc.
8. Host marketing events, such as open houses and other community events.
9. Identify potential marketing donors and oversee community outreach with local businesses.
10. Plan and implement all marketing campaigns with input from the principal.
11. Identify and develop emerging social media outlets and communication technologies.
12. Implement spirit wear sales for branding purposes.
Enrollment
1. Coordinate all tours and meetings for prospective and new families (Preschool - 8th Grade).
2. Coordinate shadow days for new students.
3. Assist with and monitor the re-enrollment/enrollment process for current and prospective
families.
4. Work closely with key volunteers, coordinate the external and internal marketing efforts and
initiatives that attract and retain students in sufficient numbers to support the programs of the
school.
5. Plan and execute recruitment events, including the prospective student open house.
6. Understand and assist with the financial aid and angel fund application process.
7. Understand and assist with the promotion of the EITC program.
8. Plan, collect data, make projections and report enrollment management data.
9. Collect birth certificates, immunization records, Baptism certificates etc. in coordination with
office administration.
10. Coordinate any school mentorship programs between current and new families.
11. Outreach to families who have unenrolled in the previous years
12. Develop any enrollment folders or packets for new and prospective families.
13. Formulate and implement community relations and marketing plans to promote the school as a
high-quality Catholic elementary school education option.
Advancement
1. Meet regularly with the parish to promote understanding, acceptance, and support of the vision
and mission statements and objectives of the school and parish.
2. School calendar and field trip management in conjunction with office administration.
3. Participate in the school community and assist with any special projects and school initiatives.
4. Chair advancement committee and attend advisory council meetings.
5. Meet monthly with the SRCES Regional Advancement Team.
6. Organize bank deposits, portal input, check printing, and mailing of school bills.
7. Work closely with the school principal to set and achieve annual goals and objectives.
8. Assist teachers and staff with solving problems and sub for classes when needed.
9. Seek out additional activities, service events, and extracurricular opportunities for students.
10. Assist with the project management process to maintain and improve the school building.
11. Additional school duties as necessary.
